I find I cant install pkgs with installer using expert Mode, Normal Mode is OK.
After Spending time choosing the pkgs in each Category it goes to the choice screen where you can choose your next step ,Like partition,KeyBoard Type,SelectPkgs etc....
But no matter what I choose it wont install the pkgs or any at all.
Even after choosing for the pkgs to be installed it will then popup with " your system is now Installed etc.. & can now reboot " But nothing has happened.
I use the latest DVD version.
I was wondering if it could be due to having the /root & swap on first drive & having /usr on second drive to its self could be a reason but wont know until I try installing to just a /root on first drive first partition with swap only.
Which I will test today & get back to let you know if it makes any difference.
This task depends upon

Unfortunatly the answer was No ,it doesnt matter about installing to one partition & Harddrive ,not sure if I am the only person with this problem.
I dont seem to get any errors popping up either during the process.

do you try to use a separate /usr partition?

as it is mentioned in the installer, we currently do not support having /usr on a different partition.

I tried with just a /root & swap on first HD & it didnt matter, Also to make things harder I found an earlier version of Frugal 0.8 I think it is lying around, & it does the exact same thing.
So I think it could be a Hardware issue.
Like I have a DVD Burner that wont burn DVD iso's properly from any Linux distro I install or app I use unless I burn it from Win XP,which I think is more to do with the discs I use.
But most dvd I burn this way install ok.
So I think its my PC.

you can try to read back all its contents and see if any read error occurs.

anyway, if you think so, could we just close this as invalid?

thanks.
